On Saturday, May 16th The New York Pops returns to the Queens Public Library Forest Hills for a special program celebrating Asian American Pacific Islander Month. The concert will celebrate immigrant communities of Queens, NY and the invaluable culture and arts contributions from Asian and Pacific Islander communities. Selections will include the beloved Korean folk song Arirang and classic American songbook pieces. This performance is led and curated by Elizabeth Lim-Dutton, a New York City-based violinist. Ms. Lim was classically trained at the Juilliard School (B.M.) and the Yale School of Music (M.M.) and she has performed in a wide variety of genres in the United States, Europe, the Far East, and Australia. As an active freelancer, Ms. Lim performs regularly as a member of the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Orchestra Lumos, The New York Pops, has recorded over seventy film scores and on and off-screen television and film productions.
