This concert is part of Carnegie Hall’s United in Sound: America at 250 festival highlighting the extraordinary musical riches that have evolved and flourished in the United States. With a wide variety of programs exploring diverse voices and influences that have shaped—and continue to shape—American identity, the festival offers a multifaceted musical reflection of the United States 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Maleah Joi Moon is a Tony award winner for Lead in a Musical for their work as “Ali” in Alicia Keys’ critically acclaimed musical, HELL’S KITCHEN opposite Shoshana Bean. Prior to transferring from The Public, Maleah was slated as an exciting new face that showcased their range and vocal ability in 2022’s ABC/DISNEY DISCOVERY SHOWCASE. On the TV/Film front, Maleah has varied interests but approaches her work with a very unique nuanced and grounded style. Other awards include 2025 Grammy Award Winner for Best Musical Theater Album, 2024 Drama Desk Winner for Outstanding Lead and 2024 Lucille Lortel Awards Nominee for Lead Performer. Maleah is repped by Buchwald Talent Agency, Authentic Talent & Literary Management, Strig Artist Management, and Jill Fritzo PR.

 

 

 

 

Avery Wilson is thrilled to be making his Broadway debut as the Scarecrow in the highly anticipated revival of THE WIZ. The solo recording artist’s recent single ‘Kiss The Sky’ hit top 20 on the Billboard R&B chart. Wilson has worked alongside Clive Davis, Quincy Jones, Usher, and Christina Aguilera amongst others.
