Residencies
PopsEd Residencies take place throughout New York City, sending New York Pops Teaching Artists into schools to provide music education to students who otherwise might have no exposure to the arts.
The New York Pops’ unique Residency program allows professional Teaching Artists to create tailor-made programs specific to a school’s needs while integrating PopsEd curriculum designed to bolster children’s confidence, self-expression, and artistic literacy.
In recent years, PopsEd Residencies have included:
- Instrumental sectionals
- Chorus residencies
- After-school violin club
- Musical Theater choreography
- Ukulele classes
- Keyboard classes
