The New York Pops conductor Steven Reineke conducts the New York Summer Music Festival Pops Orchestra in a free concert in Oneonta, New York. Multi-platinum singer Ann Hampton Callaway joins the orchestra in a program entitled "The Lady Is a Song." The concert will be held at 8:00pm at the SUNY Oneonta College's Goodrich Theater. The performance is part of the New York Summer Music Festival's 2010 season.

Featuring an all-star Broadway cast, Free to Dream showcases the people and places that make up the fabric of America. From country, rock and pop to swing and the blues, the evening's music is as varied as the fifty United States. Proceeds from Free to Dream benefit The New York Pops' education programs, which bring music to thousands of public schoolchildren across the five boroughs of New York City.

Grammy®-winning composer Doug Katsaros and Emmy®-nominated lyricist William Schermerhorn have been writing songs for national audiences of millions for nearly a decade as part of the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks® and other events.

This night is made for sharing – so bring your friends and help fulfill childrens’ dreams through music education!

Note: The New York Pops will not be performing on August 2. Stars from Broadway will perform to benefit The New York Pops Education Programs.

The New York Pops and Music Director Steven Reineke join Macy's to celebrate America's birthday on Saturday, July 4, 9PM EST with a rousing musical score to accompany the nation's largest fireworks display. Tune in to the star-studded NBC primetime entertainment special at 9PM EST or set your radio to 1010 WINS to listen to the score performed by The New York Pops.

The fireworks can be viewed from any area with an unobstructed view of the sky above the Hudson River.
